Life Of An Office Worker

     Wake up at 6 am or earlier. Prepare your lunch or ensure you have money to order from the nearest food place. Get to work on time - whether it be via personal transportation or public transit. Spend the morning hours "waking" up and getting into the "gist" of the day. Spend the afternoon hours in full bloom, doing what you do best. Clear up desk and make note of any work that must be continued the next day. Head home. All this and more make up the life of an office worker.

     Who would have thought that someone like me would end up an office worker - and actually like it. My very first official job was actually spent as an office worker, and I've developed a knack for it ever since.

     The life of an office worker is a bit more interesting than others may think. It's not simply sitting at a computer crunching numbers and typing reports all day. With the right coworker relationships and cooperation, the office environment can be one of interest and some excitement.  Ironically, on the really good days, there's much to do, and as you check down the "to-do" list, a sense of accomplishment and victory is attained. It's that same giddy feeling you get when you finish that two month project and you know your actually done.

     Now there is no need to sugarcoat this part of an office worker; Yes, the meetings can be a bore. Although this doesn't go for all meetings. There are those that are pioneering and are of great interest, and those where one may feel like of extreme influence and importance. None-the-less, they are a required part of working an office job as they are a great way to relay vital information and updates.

     One of the most interesting things about being an office worker is having your own phone. The phone is the gateway to an entire new dimension that is filled with new adventures, and distinctive conversations. Every time that phone rings, there is an entire new chapter calling, waiting for you answer and to be written into the "book of records". It's certainly a mystery as you try to take a small guess as to who it may be on the other line, and what they might want.

     All being said, this life filled with early risings, lunch packing, phone-ringing, informational meeting, and so much more is one that can be of great benefit. Did I mention that it's definitely an "eye-catcher" on resumes and come with a really  good pay. My suggestion; you should all go apply for the life of an office worker.

A Nine-To-Five

Wake up!
Take A Shower!
Get Dressed!
Consider Breakfast!
Nine To Five!!

In today's society, one would be fortunate to work a nine to five, on a consistent basis. It would allow one to enjoy the comfort of a routine process and allow the flexibility of life after "five".

Unfortunately that's not the case for some people. For a large percentage of our population, a nine to five would be a dream come true as they are currently without a job. For others, a nine to five is the more favorable shift, as they get stuck with early morning, evening or even graveyard shifts.

Well, all this is being said for one purpose!! Whether it be a nine-to-five or a five-to-nine.... For those who have a job, be happy that you are employed and have a means of making your own living (somewhat), and for those who do not have a job, don't waste time sitting around and hoping one lands at your front door. Be active, and try to find one (preferably one you may even like).

ONCE UPON A TIME......

My parents met at a local beach event......... Do I need to tell you what happened next?

Yep, before you knew it, they were nurturing a baby boy. I could never fully contemplate how my parents could get together and create such a thing as myself, none-the-less, I'm here now. I've been here for the last seventeen years and  I hope to be here for a at least another seventeen.

So my roller-coaster of life - which I nicknamed the "Soul Twister" - has taken me for a quite an adventure in these last seventeen years, and I've learned quite a lot about myself.  I've learned enough to know that I'm defying my quiet nature by even considering writing this post. I've also learned enough to know that, sometimes you have to go against what is common and explore the unknown in order to lean new things about yourself

I am on a mission! I have made a pledge to myself to continue on this roller-coaster and sees where it takes me, but I won't let it completely take over my life. I am determined to fulfill my life-long goals and be the best that I can be in life. I'm going to put forth the required effort at all times, and with the support of family and friends, I know I'm going to be successful.

And once I've arrived at my destination, I wish to say that I have obtained that "...happily ever after"
